Fall Eyeshadow Guide

As a Seint makeup artist, I LOVE playing around with different eyeshadows and color combinations. We all know that with the change of season comes a briskness to the air, and yummy pumpkin spice aromas all around, and naturally, we find ourselves gravitating to cozy, comfy sweaters,

With the weather changing…it’s the perfect time to change up your makeup look and colors. When I think of Fall, I think of warm-toned shades when it comes to my makeup. You’ll find a lot of warm shades such as browns and tans, coppers, oranges, and red tones along with golds in my makeup palette. Additionally, dark smokey grays, cool taupes, deep hues of blues, and purples (plum, eggplant, etc.), are beautiful trendy colors for fall! I love using both matte and satin/shimmer shades, as I can give both layers and texture to my eye makeup.

Don’t forget these application tips…

  1. Blending is key. Make sure you’re using the right brushes (I love the "eyeshadow" and "blur" brushes and blend in soft, circular motions.

  2. Start light with the amount of shadow you apply. It’s harder to blend excess product, but you can always add more.

  3. Using matte (non-shimmer) shades for your transition and outer corner adds more definition to the look.

  4. Take your look a step further by applying a light shimmer shade in your tear duct and just under your brow to create a highlight.

Experiment with different colors and styles to find what suits your eye shape and personal style best. Have fun with it! Let me know if you have any questions or specific tutorial requests.
